A friend of mine, Rebecca, is posing for me right now.  Here’s a quick point-and-shoot image (apologies for the fish-eyed-ness of the image).  I’m on my second pass right now. She’s in Europe, so the painting is on hiatus for the moment.

    I’m enjoying views of your work and reading blog. I especially like your self-portrait, great idea with yourself centered between 2 men conversing and view of Florence (is it?) in background. You paint so well. It’s great to see another example of a talented and intelligent woman artist. I’m also an artist (website under construction) with friendly ties to Jake and family.     Thank you for your comment. My goal this summer is to update this blog more frequently, and I’m glad that you found it. The background of the self-portrait is sort of a made-up mesh of Rome and Paris, but it is Italian-inspired (I visited Rome again this spring).
